Was so close, was about to get 2016 VON then:

"They kicked back you order because they are out of Brass Monkey Wheels till mid November. We can either wait till then or order with the standard Wheels. Please let me know."

I'm attempting to get an Ivory Tri-coat Pearl Charger. IMO the car has to have they brass monkey wheels so I decided to wait.

Do you guys think I just screwed up?

I don't think they are worth the wait.
In fact, I wouldn't pay the addition charge for them.

But, ultimately, you make yourself happy.

my intention is to just get the black wheels, then when the time comes to buy new tires, if by that time I still feel that I really "must have me some Brass Monkey", I will send them out for brass monkey powdercoating before the new tires go on. I have other vehicles to drive, so having the car in my garage up on jackstands for a week is no big deal.

Wait for the wheels. You want them, you should have them. And, they look awesome with the Ivory white. What color interior did you order?

You do realize that once they have the wheels, something else will be on back order. (just kidding)

Black interior with red belts. I've seen pictures of both black and brass monkey and I definitely want them so I'll wait. Man I thought I was getting close.

For $1000 I would guess you could pay to have the tires unmounted, power coat the wheels in any color you like and tires remounted. And still have money left

    Edit: $1000 not 2000 lol

Locally, I can get 4 wheels powdercoated (includes blasting to prep) for around 500-600. Metallics cost a little more.

Keep in mind that once you get the car you will then wish you had 10.5" rims on the back. My vote is get the car now sell the black ones and get a set of triumph performance wheels.

I am have an ivory white and that's the direction I am leaning. Get the car and then figure it out!!!

For the $395 I paid maybe. For the upcharge on them for 2016 no way. Of course I say this while my 2015 is still stuck in "I" hell after 3 weeks.....

What is the optional cost for Brass Monkey Wheels in 2016?
I recall considering $395 for them on my 2015, and thought then it wasn't worth it.

Not keen on the brass monkey wheels. Especially since they seem to have darkened the tone down. Initially they looked like hyper brass but now they just look bronze. Get you Cat and powder coat your wheels any colour you want

    Okay, my two cents.
I ordered my car on January 2015. Everyone laughed at me including the dealer. I ordered a Charger, sorry but I like big ole fat fast cars.
Even so the dealer tried to sell me every option under the sun. I told them flat out Jazz Blue and the only option I wanted (and was willing to forego the deal if it wasn't available) was the Laguna leather package.
    Everything else stock.
Do I regret my order. Well yes and no. I think the Monkey Brass wheels would have looked boss on the Jazz Blue but black looks pretty cool and I really can't see the color from the inside. So I still giggle when my black wheels are doing the same thing as any other option.
Radio? Well the car was delivered early April. I have 4K miles and the R/F speaker is already cracked. After hearing all the complaints about the Harmon Kardon setup I suspect buying and installing a good set of speakers might have been the right choice. Honestly, I bought the car for the vroom, not the boom.
As far as any other option(s), well I guess it buyers discretion and if your willing to chance a delay, then give it a try. I suspect there will be a surplus 2016 as they raised prices and probably will wind up over ordering parts. There will probably be end of year deals as 2017 rolls around.
I will tell you one thing, it was very cool having my name printed on the invoice. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make you happier than a lot of options.
    Regards

$995 I believe. Now I wish I had just ordered the black and had them PVD (chrome). Sending the Brass Monkey wheels in as core will be too painful.

I wonder how much cost difference there is for Chrysler powder coating wheels Brass Monkey instead of Black.
