At what point is taking delivery of a 2015 not worth it?

So as time goes by I'm starting to get that taking delivery of a 2015 so late into 2015 could be a bad thing as far as the value of the car. Just curious if Dodge is taking this into consideration. I mean if you take delivery of a 2015 in August and 2 months later the 2016 is out your paying too much for a new car. So in your opinion what month is your cut off for taking delivery of a 2015 and asking for a 2016?

After April I would be looking for a 2016 unless there is a color you want or you fall into a deal..

Thats a tough question. If you wait for a 2016 you're probably looking at delivery when the snow starts flying again,at least in these parts. Then it would just sit in the garage till spring, which, is just now starting to turn nice here.
My D1 status still hasn't brought me mine yet, looking at a late April build I guess. Meaning June delivery possibly, which I could live with of course.
If we were talking Nov/Dec, that wouldn't work for me.

Well I have a VIN and only paid $1000 over cost. So with 2016's more than likely going up I'm probably going to stick with what I have. I'll get the end of summer and fall to have fun and that's worth it to me. But if it's going to be late summer I might change my mind. Thanks for the advice.

    price will go up some

Dodge always seems to add something new each year, so look for some new option or pkg.

if your going to keep the car 20+ years it makes no difference....if your going to trade in after a couple of years it makes sense to wait for the 2016

for me Sublime is the only color i wanted, so it had to be a 2015....even if it was Nov 2015 right now id still buy the 15

Get whatever you can as soon as you can. They won't be able to catch up with 2015 demand until sometime in 2018. Unless they quadruple production or GM comes up with something competitive there is no end in sight to this problem. They're MASSIVELY MASSIVELY MASSIVELY underestimating demand. Damn near every dealer kept one for themselves, or their family, or their buddies, they're building a ton of unsold cars that dealers are using as fishing lures or a draw, add that to the 9,000 outstanding orders and the 7-8 deep still waiting to place an order - they're NEVER going to catch up making 6,000 cars a year.
