I'm looking at several transport companies, not brokers. Has anyone used Plycar Transport (Plycon Corporation)?

I don't think you can beat Passport. But they are not cheap.

I've used Reliable, Intercity & Passport. All enclosed transports. All very good.

You see a lot of "Reliable" transport trucks on the Barrett-Jackson and Mecum auctions. I read someplace on this site (or another Challenger site) where someone used U-Ship.com and had a problem with car damage.

Didn't that guy end up wrecking the car before arriving in San Francisco?

I have used Intercity 3 times always excellent! I used Reliable once , bad experience (no damage) just a very long delayed ship time and poor costumer service.
Car sat in Orlando warehouse for ~3 weeks. Maybe be better now , but I personally wouldn't use them again.

I used these guys a couple summers ago for my Challenger, my buddy used it for his Rouche, and i am about too use them again in July, they do open and enclosed trucks depending on what you need. Last time i did enclosed, this time i may just do open. Its $500 more to enclosed, so just not sure yet

I also used Reliable once, took almost 3 months from Pick-up till delivery (never again). I'm going to use Passport, heard a lot of good about them. No ramps, all lift gates & enclosed. But heard never use a broker, you don't know who has your car. Hoping for no problems.

I would not suggest using a broker. Timing issues referenced with Reliable or any of the majors will depend on your pickup & drop locations. If you need to get to a specific national car event find out if there is Transporter they are tied to or let your carrier know when the car must get to the location & my experience with Reliable, Interstate & Passporton on numerous occasions has been very good. There are definitely less expensive transporters but at the end of the day you will get what you pay for.

Passport. I have used them a number of times on rare cars and each and every time it has seamless. I have also used others over the years that have not worked so well. I will only use Passport from now on. They go so far as to have sheeting between the upper and lower decks to protect from oil drips to falling debris onto the lower car. There are other good companies but none have ever beaten the price, speed or reliability in my experience.
