So long story short, i sorced a local embroidery shop to do my headrests. Took the covers in and about three days later went to pick them up....the hellcat was stitched 90 degrees off. So the lady at the shop promised to make it right and i let her do her thing. I come to find out the entire headrest needs to be remade as you cant just replace one panel because the stitch holes wont line up properly.:( Alright so be it. The headrests are about $180 cdn a piece by the way. Moving on, i go in to pick out the material to match the factory and proceed to wait a few more days until they are complete. Now personally i think the shop really tried to make right of the situation. I just think i ended up with poor quality embroidery.

Have a look see what you think.

I don't know it doesn't look that bad. It kind looks like a mad Carolina Panther after they lost the super bowl.

Yup. They didn't know how to do it. Material is bunching.

Not the end of the world. Start over.

Hellcat outline is not so bad but the headrest itself has lost its original shape and seams are not straight/square anymore.

Really think you are on a path to get new factory covers!

Hey Kevin, just get another set of headrests, and we can hook you up in Calgary. I'll be dropping mine off on Friday.

I agree ... the embroidery itself looks fine, but the leather is not crisp and smooth on the edges any longer. Keep us posted on the progress, please. I'd love to see the final, finished product.

I remember Jina telling me she wanted the entire headrest with the foam as it helps her get the centering correct and they often us a heat gun and rework the material to eliminate issues like this.

Just my understanding based on what Jina told me but I think these are one of those things that you need to do a lot of to get good at.

I don't think it looks awful and it may get better once the weather warms up but it's your car. Only you can decide...

I've got Laguna leather. Not sure how different that is compared to the stock material from a wrinkle perspective.

Have the place who did this buy you new headrests and send them to Jina out of Corona CA, I believe she is still doing HC headrests. Her info is somewhere on the site. She does great work, mine came out perfect. IMG_1939.jpg

    Rob,

Jina is no longer in business due to a serious illness in her family.
