Just checking in to see if anyone has any paint issues with their hellcats, or am I alone?

Yes, I have 2 paint issues! 1) Dirt specs under the clear coat on passenger side and 2) streak on the hood 18" long from what looks like a missed paint spray gun overlap.

Dirt in clear coat everywhere. Dirt in satin hood, and paint on the hood is so thin in sections that you can see blue paint through it. image.jpg

I see so many metallic flakes in my B5 so can't tell if it's a dirt or metallic flakes

Mine is pretty obvious on the hood and the specs under clear coat are dirt!
The car is so great this is a shame...What can be done about it?
That Pinkish stripe isn't a reflection, it is there!

oh wow! thats terrible. Ive got little dirt here and there and i can see where they sanded out some bumps making the paint super smooth around where the bump or dimple was. Nothing too bad though

My Cat is good, with the exception of paint sags at the rear end of the quarter panel where it meets the rear fascia. I also have a 2014 Shaker in bright white that has paint issues of dirt etc. The paint also looks like it has metallic in it under the hood on the fenders.

Only problem with mine is a few dirt specks which given the paint line at the factory they all will have. The paint on my 2015 HC is a little better than my 09 SRT.
That paint streak would be a problem to me though.

It's sad that in 2015 they can't paint a car! Worst paint on any vehicle I have ever purchased.

Dodge has had paint problems from at least 2011 when i had my last challenger....there has always been complaints.....its nothing new and shouldnt be a surprise to anyone anymore

mine has some minor dirt in the paint, but you have to really search to find it

i see spots under the hood where the paint will just fall off....had this happen in my trunk inside rim on my 2011....like a solvent spot where the paint didnt stick...i just said ''its a dodge'' and touched it up myself

i would not be happy with a streak across the hood....why did you accept it originally? why not pass and wait for another?

Well, First of all, This Cat Had My Name on the Window Sticker! Second, The streak really looks like a reflection (That doesn't move) and only shows up in sunlight, so when you see your hellcat for the first time after waiting and waiting it is truly an sensory overload and you really don't see everything the first time you view the car. What do you think about that?

This is my first post on this site so I really hate for it to be a negative one. That said, I have a "lump" near the bottom leading edge of the driver's side door. It looks like rust bubbling out on an old repainted car. There is also about a six to seven inch long run on the passenger's side fender edge at the seam next to the front fascia. The black hood has so much trash in the paint that when I had the clear protective film put on it there are bubbles under it that are very noticeable without trying to find them.

I also have a lot of the same hood and fender fitment issues that some of the other members have posted about.

I just got the car September 30th of this year (six weeks ago) but I've been back to the dealer five times with electrical problems and a bad O2 sensor. I'm really beginning to think that I've made a big mistake buying this car.

i think you should have looked over the car you just paid $65k for instead of staring at your name on the window sticker and assuming dodge gave you a flawless car.....thats why i dont order cars...i go buy them and dont wait:):):):)

Yea but it's just not that cut and dry.
You yern for a special car and when it comes your way and it was built on your birthday (yes it was) and it was ordered by you and your f'n name is on the window sticker it just becomes special. I probably would not have noticed it right a way. I would just think that they would take a little more care on a $65,000 dollar car. I'm not looking for flawless it doesn't exist. But come on dodge a little more care in the paint department would go along way!!!
I have had corvettes with better paint jobs! I have an appointment next week to deal with it
