Best Drag track tire psi Nitto 275/40 A8

    I have herd diffrent psi at local drag track, what is the hot setup in gen.-----thanks----

    Nittos like to be warm. Start around 22-24 psi and work your way down from there.

    I start at 17 psi on both the Nitto's and MT's, usually after the first pass they are at 18 psi and will let it stay there for the next pass, if traction is still good go up 1 psi if you like as the higher psi may give a better mph. I have never run higher than 19 on these drag radials....Some guys will add air until the traction is lost, but in racing you don't have that luxury as one bad pass and your out....

    I was running 18psi in my MTs. But i got crazy wheel/tire slip all day. I have a post that shows my wheel/tire mark and it slipped so bad it went all the way around twice.

    That being said i think they were stupid and used soap to mount them. Mark your rims and see if you are getting slippage

    Yo Noquarter thanks for the info on dr's psi. On another note back in the day when mounting tires we used a product called Ru-Glide not a soap. I dont know if it is still avail. but it dam sure worked.------thanks again

    I ran mine at 18 psi. Hooked good with trap at 127.
