You could also get it wrapped. There are clear wraps made for mate paints.

I have one, they are not bad to maintain. Just don't go thru the commercial car warsches or it will ruin the matte finish.

Mine is a pain in the a$$, no car washes ever!!!!!!!! hand wash at home and follow the directions. Plus it builds heat.
Looks cool as hell but its a pain. If you get tree sap or bugs you must be very careful not to polish the affected areas. If you like to hand wash and never use a car wash go for it.

I put an Xpel film on mine, solved the maintenance problem.

You have a picture? I like that idea as long as it retains the matte look!

Yes, wrap it! Mine is actually a white hood that I had wrapped in black. Easy to clean and if it ever gets too bad I can just rewrap it. However, I saw a factory black hood the other day and at two weeks old it already had a couple of paint chips. You can't touch those up very well. If mine was a factory black hood I'd wrap it with Xpel just as suggested above.

I wrapped mine because I didn't want to delay receiving the car back when they had the black hood issue. Glad I did after reading about how sensitive the satin paint is. It was cheaper than the paint, too.

You can get a film over your satin hood? Is it like Clear Bra material ?

3M, Carbon Fiber wrap. The Satin hood was no longer available when I ordered the car.

I'm kind of regretting ordering the satin hood now.
