Yesterday I was driving along... 25-35 miles an hour... not getting on it at all, and suddenly my low oil pressure light came on. So, I scramble to get the oil pressure gauge to come up and it reads ZERO! I look up an see some white smoke in the rear view mirror, and pull into a parking lot ASAP, and shut down. I opened the hood and could see oil near the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side, and pool started forming around the front right tire.

Even though I was only a few blocks from the dealer, I had it towed in.

So, I have a sick Kitty, and I will let you all know what actually blew, when I know.... so you all can make sure it doesn't happen to you.

oil cooler plug is in that area. A few people said that their plug was very easy to take out.
    Maybe yours just worked loose.

Sorry to hear! When I changed my oil the first time, the oil cooler drain plug was finger tight. I bet it is that, or one of the the lines into the cooler either came off or split. Glad you got her shut down fast!

    Just got the call...

Oil line going into the cooler popped off. They re-attached and filled it, but don't trust the clips, so they are ordering me a new oil line.

I don't think so... engine was barely warm... it happened a few blocks from my driveway, and I shut down quick. Synthetic oil coats the cylinder walls for a little while after losing oil pressure... so I think it'll be ok. (I hope)

My oil cooler lines started leaking and were replaced. It wasn't a major leak like this though. Hopefully it's nothing too bad.

I hope your right-you def have documentation in case something goes that's oil related-main and rod bearings would be my concern as oil pressure is the only thing keeping them from metal on metal contact-keep us posted so glad she didn't grenade on you!
