Noticed this weekend the rear left speaker sounds like it's blown on my HK system in my Charger
Want to upgrade rather than just replace the rear speaker
Company here are offering the following brands and as I don't have any ideas about car audio would really appreciate some of your expert advice on this forum which way to go.

    Groundzero
    JL Audio
    CDT Audio
    Gladen
    Rockford Fosgate

It really comes down to you, listen to each brand to see which one fits your needs. The only ones i've used were JL Audio and Rockford Fosgate...

What year is your Charger? ALL 2015 Chargers have the speakers wired backwards ( Sub signal to small speakers & Their signals going to the sub) causing some speakers to sound like they are blown. There is a TSB flash that will correct the problem. If you haven't had the update do that first.

YUP!!! I thought I had one too. even got the speaker replaced but still sounded blown. heres the kicker- it ONLY sounded blown on Sirius XM sometimes. Never on FM. IF thats your symptoms then you need the amp flash update for sure!!

Don't have Siruis here but tried it with FM and playing from the SD card and speaker still sounds blown. So it's the TSB on Saturday if that doesn't work will replace the speakers

Wow, this is the first I've heard of this. My speakers sound fine. I guess I still need to take it in for a flash? Any reason why I can't just swap the wire at the sub myself?

If you're happy with what you have I wouldn't. The new flash does add a considerable amount of base that you might not be happy with.

If you have a late build date, it might already have the first flash update that fixed the wiring problem. This latest update was an addendum to the first amp flash that added the extra base as all I can tell.

Do you happen to know the date of the tsb? Looks like my car has a build date of 8/15. Later build, so you might be right as it could already have the flash...

Well, I guess I better contact my dealer. This includes all vehicles with the HK system? Do you happen to have the TSB #? Thanks!
