When I jump on it in first gear in Track Mode the car Boggs down or hesitates. When in street mode it eats pavement. Nothing has been changed from the default setting. Any Ideas?

    A8 or M6 ?
Check all of your settings and Change them once and move them back and see if that helps.

Sounds like ESP is kicking in. Put it in Sport mode, ESP is off

While stopped, hold down the traction control button for 10 seconds; located below the hazard light button in the center console.

This will completely turn off traction control.

You will get a chime and the TC light by the tach will illuminate.

In Sport mode, the nannies do not kick in. They will, slightly, in Track mode.

Track mode isn't for the dragstrip like some people think, it's for the road course, and as such it will sometimes try to calm the car down if it feels that its getting out of control, or has excessive tire spin. Sport mode does not.

Definitely agree. Custom mode at the 1/4mi worked the best:

    Suspension - Street
Transmission (Auto) - Track (ensure to leave it in D when going down)
Traction - Street (start out here to get a feel), then work your way down to Full Off)

    - Around the water box.
    - Put trans in manual gear shift, 1st. Warm up the tires.
    - Put trans in drive (for autos)
    - stage at the light
    - feel out the rest

Check out the picture in my other post. It will also let you know on the SRT drive mode screen.

If you take TC off remember that any input to an AUTOMATIC FUNCTION (cruise control) the computer will return TC to default.

So.....you turn off TC spin and have fun, go on hwy and hit cruise.....TC is back ON......you have to stop and disengage TC again if you want to play...

Hehe, unfortunately have to be stopped. On the older SRTs, you could drive up to 10mph and still completely disable it.

Traction control full off is truly the real fun button.

I can say he is right, Track Mode on a road course is perfect and don't think you can do better. Just concentrate on the steering and brakes, the computer with that engine and A8 is unbelievable.

The manual also states that our cars require 7.5 qts of oil when In fact they require 6.
