Here's my baby at Borla getting put through the paces.
    She sure sounds awesome!
Can hardly wait to see dyno results!

Please stress that we want an exhaust that can accommodate our actuators without the need for welding

I'm pretty sure you just did!
Their engineers are keeping up with our needs and wants. They were aware of all of these threads and discussions when I met with them.
Please feel free to comment so they can have as much feedback as possible.

Having gone Borla on three previous vehicles, I'll be watching closely

I've also had nothing but good experiences with this company in the past.
That's why they got my car to test and not some other muffler maker!

Do something with the exhaust tips so visually it looks as good as it sounds

Do you have an idea how far out production is for the Charger Hellcat Borla system? I've got a birthday in mid-November.

I'm a huge Borla fan and will be following this thread closely.

    Exhaust Criteria for me:
    1. No drone.
    2. Performance gain.
    3. Loud but with depth, not the raspy crap that slow master has.

I'm agreeing with all except comment on tips.
    Just because....
Those are still factory tips, so no input from their engineers yet....I, for one, requested black tips so they would disappear on my black car!
I'm hoping that I'll have something huge and invisible! (Just like my car).
I will leave it to their trained professionals (and flow measurements) to figure out how to get the best flow and configuration to fit within factory parameters and mounting points.
Just to be assured, I had all of the same criteria and questions
as mentioned here in previous posts before I agreed to leave my car. Answer was OK, no problem. As this is a brand I've had previous experience with, I agreed to leave my car for r&d.
This is one company I have no problem leaving my car with to figure out how to extract any remaining potential from the factory exhaust system. While you have to give the Brampton boys credit with this beast, there will always be compromises with the factory exhaust and the bean counters and regulators who oversee every aspect of the production process.
I'm very happy with the willingness of the aftermarket to step up for any possible deficiencies in the factories abilities to push the limits and welcome their attempts to correct these minor imperfections.
I also consider myself fortunate to have my car act as guinea pig for final test fitting and performance reviews.
Please continue with any other input to help ensure a final product that meets most needs.

Do you know the specific details of how Borla plans to accommodate the exhaust actuators?

We have seen that Solo welds the stock valves and actuators to their system. (personally, that seems to be a hassle)

I saw a video where it shows Flowmasters mounting the actuators to their system is such a way that the actuators rotate, yet don't operate any valves. (pretty neat idea, but the system has lost some of its functionality.)

Also, will the be an option for either a highly aggressive exhaust note or what Borla sometimes calls a "Touring" catback?

    Just heard from Alvin @borla.
Two sound levels will be offered, also with functional actuators or with actuator holders. Of course, holders would be cheaper, according to him, without a noticible sound difference.
No cutting or welding necessary and full emissions compliant.
He sent a much more detailed explanation, but doesn't want to post here as they aren't a sponsor (yet).
This is my feeble attempt at translating, if you need more info, contact Alvin at borla.
And yes, they will do black tips. Just need enough demand, right now designed for factory tips.
If forum mods give ok, i will post complete texts, just don't want to upset any sponsors!

When do they think they'll have some Dyno results on their exhaust systems... cause I gotta be honest.. the stock exhaust sounds pretty hot already... don't know how much more you could improve on sound.. now if HP goes up that's a different story... ;)

I hope to be able to pick car up by next weds. They should have all testing done by then. Hopefully I'll be seeing some initial numbers before then.
Their challenger numbers were positive, so I'm really looking forward to my numbers.
