You must be sure, now help us mere mortals out. To some of us, it is a dark picture that does not say much, of the underside near the tranny.

Very funny, Thats a picture of the rear end of Johns car with broken mounts on the rear. The Diff broke from its mounts. Guess were going to be making the 9" kit sooner then expected.....

Is that a piece of magnesium cast pot metal I see or is that cast aluminum? Neither of which is a good choice for strength.. Lol my GOD! First we get welded in gears now we find out the mounts are not even harbor freight tool grade metals (throws hands in air shaking head and walking away)

No, i believe this is the 2nd one to break. We will more then likely do something like this for it.

That solves some issues but raises others... Still going to need a carrier that works with spline count and axle OD.. Or is it the same as another setup already out? Or do you have earon/Detroit or someone working with you on this to provide a total package? Making a 9" housing and being able to use 9" gears is great.. But still have to transfer the power to the axles.. And I've not seen anyone yet even mention making shafts or carriers so far. I emailed Eaton a couple weeks ago as,in general them if they were going to make carries either in lsd or lockers through Detroit and all I got back was... "Waiting to see if the market will support it" granted anyone can make a spool but no ones gonna want that for daily driving..

Told them i wanted one pcs shaft anyway and that would fix that...but if its broke/failing already they will cover factory parts and apply to aftermarket... But if i break it and tear the bottom of my car up im gonna be pissed... Thoughts greatly appreciated

Cracking and popping when? This is usually a sign of any number of other issues. Usually based on when exactly it makes the noise you can pretty accurately diagnose the issue.. I.E. Turning under throttle.. Turning off throttle.. Etc.. It it only under backlash.. (Transferring from throttle to coast that I between area creates a transition from what gear is driving driving what)

But it wouldn't ever call any carrier bearing noise.. "Normal"

Mostly backlash from thottle to no throttle... While first releasing the clutch as loads start to transfer through the drive train...( normal driving scenario)) not gettin wild with it...like a ujoint would... And when pumping the brakes to allow weight transfer....i described as something rolling back and forth kn center consel or cup holder... Or similar to a busted tranny mount... Or half the rearend ripped out..:)... If the sound was farther back i would say that
