Just joined this forum and my first post... note a good one either. My 2016 Hellcat Charger "bit the dust" on Christmas Eve with a mere 752 miles on it. Dealer called today and said it was an "internal supercharger failure". Unbelievable. Told the selling dealership that I want a new replacement or full buyback. We'll see what happens. Anyone else with a low mileage blower failure? Was just cruising along when I heard a loud whistle and then it stalled.

That's sucks! There won't be a buy back on it with just that.

Dealer hasn't given me any specifics on failure mode... just said "internal blower failure" and that replacement supercharger is a "special order item" with at least 2 weeks delivery time. They had to put a new starter on it just to get it started and then determined the blower failed. I heard loud "whistling" that varied with engine rpm just before it crapped out; wouldn't crank after that. I just want them to replace the damn car. A major engine failure at 752 miles on a $70K car is unacceptable!

    Ugh, I'd certainly be disappointed.

Feel free to search the forum to review things concerning the supercharger. There's quite a bit already out there.

I wonder if it let any bits into the engine. A 12k super can turn into a 25k engine fast.

Holy Hell Cat!!!!...........This is like a Flu epidemic!!!!!

Something is wrong somewhere in the production line!

I think you will get yours resolved and I'm sure SRT will want to review it. There is definitely a quality control issue and "Building it too fast to keep up with the orders would be the worse excuse".

Let us know how it goes!

Lemon law generally applies to going back to the dealer for the same issue 3 times. A catostophic failure wouldnt fall under lemon law from what i understand. Not sure if there is a dimished value option as this will show up on vip reports.

I think you could be right about TT's but there were some prior SC problems on the earlier HC's, but the performance shops were blamed or the owner for doing certain things. Somewhere quality control needs to be checked and then maybe there will be recalls and I'm sure they don't want to do that!
