How closely did you follow the break in procedure. If you don't follow it will it void your warranty? Thanks for any input

They have no way of knowing if you followed it. That being said I followed my break in.

For a lot of people it is not practical to follow the break in 100%. I know for me, i live/work in the lovely desert and have to take highways to work etc, so i couldn't. I didn't get TOO crazy during my break in, but i was no stickler either

There's a pretty significant size thread about break in and who followed it already. You'll find lots of replies and opinions there. Here you go:

Many varying opinions, some with cool sounding taglines...Drive it like ya stole it...ran it like a raped ape...whip it like a rental, etc. I've heard folks preach from the pulpit of run it hard and anything that is subpar will fail and be fixed under warranty.

I think many focus on the engine (and maybe the tranny) and forget a bit about other components that need some love. After engine I'd guess most people consider brakes, bed those things right! Don't forget the myriad other components that make your ride roll.

I've followed break in on every car listed in my signature as I am not an engineer and don't second guess them. There is a side of me that says just jump on it and get it ready for whats to come. Like with the ladies, a little consideration up front gets you some stellar results a bit up the road :D Taking just a little bit of time makes the ultimate "burnout" even more intense. That's my tagline :)

Well, it is not easy, but I did keep it under 4K rpm's for the 500 miles.
Don't know if you could have a problem. I just figured after all the ups and downs with getting this car built and in my hands, being patience for a couple of weeks was a cake walk

5k rpm after 100 miles and I did that in 6 days but only 238 afterwards

I followed it to the letter with zero oil consumption and NO other mechanical issues.
