After having 3 coats of CQuartz Finest applied, I was leaving the detail shop and a group of people were anticipating the glorious Hellcat burnout. At that point you have to decide what is the appropriate amount of rubber to remove from your tires to create memories but not blow your tire budget.

I find that leaving it in 1st gear in manual mode gives you a nice short burnout but you can't keep it floored because you will hit the rev limiter and there is no need for that.

If you have more distance available I prefer starting in manual mode in 2nd gear. You only have to hold the brake for 2 or 3 seconds until you lose traction then just let off the brake and keep it floored.

Here is a video of me leaving the shop starting in 2nd gear.

I disabled traction control once and let it fly in first, second, and third. At that point the rear was crabbing seriously to the left.

I noticed that in "Sport" mode the car will try to correct and keep the burnout straight.

Everytime I take off hard when it goes to second it falls on its face...even in track.. Looks like I'm going to the dealer...tcm flash..... I wonder if it's because of the air filter ,I have a green one in there,, maybe it's getting too much air?

It shouldn't matter what mode you're in if the traction control has been totally disabled by holding the TC button until it chimes. Somebody jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you in Sport or Track mode and the full 700?

Nope-you ain't getting too much air.

My guess (speaking form 3 separate events where this occurred)?

$5 will get you $10 you fouled the MAF-you are not choking this car with too much air. It is Russian Roulette-I'd get rid of the airfilter, find a way to clean the MAF wires (look online or go to a non Dodge dealer).

Your dealer is drunk if he fixes it under warranty, since you created the condition (if that is what it is) and he may log it and hold it against you.

This is one of the few manuals that specifically say not to use oiled filters...**** up your A/F on a normally aspirated car and it is bad, but on forced induction car? Is it worth it for 10 extra horses?

    YMMV.

VP. it only does it under hard acceleration. There is no check engine lights. I thought maybe it was snapping the rev limter...and how can check the MAF
