Not one to wait when I've decided to buy.
Have line on 2015, delivery, 3 weeks.
    2016 orders should open soon.
Seems there may be some appearances changes on 2016, not performance.
    Now or wait ?

Get your 2015 if it's in the bag so you can drive for some of the summer

The only appearance changes that our forum insider has brought up is color choices. if you have your heart set on Sublime and can get one now, might want to grab it, because it is not available for 2016.

    2015 vs. 2016:

    - 5yr/100,000 mi vs 5yr/60,000 mi power train warranty
    - upgraded UConnect features for 2016 (Five big updates for 2016 Uconnect 8.4 FCA Corporate Blog
    - sublime and phantom black (2015) vs go mango and plum crazy (2016)
    - depreciation time value $57-59000 (2015) vs 1 yr extra (2016)

I think the key thing is to get the exact car you want (options etc) at a reasonable price.

unless its going to be a hard core daily driver you wont use the warranty difference

get the 15 if the price is right

I say a cat in the hand is worth two in the bush. You almost have a 2015 in your hand...I say get that cat!
I think that power train warrantee may be a big deal depending who you ask or who may be buying your Hellcat a few years down the road as those things transfer if sold right? Those extra 40,000 miles of power train protection on a race car is worth "real" money IMO and lots easer to sell a used car with a warrantee than without! I did not know that warrantee was changing and that fact alone makes me feel great about getting my 2015! I win kinda thing!

I know VW at one point offered 3 year free oil changes and then with the new model year went down to a 2 year oil change program. When my wife was shopping for a VW she got hung up on that and actually wanted the older year model just for the free oil changes. Some people will perceive that 100K millage as a very big deal and some will not but people don't like when you get something "free if you will" then its taken away.

Only thing I see is if the supply / demand thing gets better in 2016. I wonder if a Hellcat can then be purchased under invoice or perhaps rebates offered towards the end of 2016?

You only live once, if you have the $ get the 15 NOW with the better warrantee. Also who knows what bank rates will do for 2016? Good time to buy a car IMO with rates under 2.3% for 75 months and better if you can go shorter term. Who knows but I think rates will be going up soon. May save some cash with a 2016 if paying cash or rebates happen but who knows how long it would be before you actually got a 2016?

Are the opinions still the same on this subject. I have a line on a 2015 that is out of state for me so there is all the hassles that come with that not to mention around $700 to ship it. Then today my local dealer calls me to tell me they were told by the factory rep they will get an allocation for a Charger in the second half of 2016. Can expect delivery June/July. What would you do?

2015 is cheaper, better warranty and you can get it now.... Only way I'd opt for a 2016 is if PCP was a must have color. (It's really growing on me).

That's what I would do. Tomorrow isn't promised.

I might have made a big mistake, but I am going with the 2016 from my local dealer. Anyone interested in a TorRed 2015 for MSRP look up Ty at Larson Dodge in Puyallup, WA
