I am considering buying a used Challenger Hellcat from a non-Dodge dealer out of state. The dealer is however highly respected. If I do this, is the remaining balance of the factory warranty still valid? Any advice on something like this?

    Thanks!

Make sure you test drive it especially if it is an m6 you don't know how hard the clutch was pushed. I am sure the salesman will tell you it was owned by an older driver who never had it over 80mph.

Get the VIN and do a search on this board to see if someone here ordered/bought it. Post the VIN and perhaps someone can look up it's history. Go to this website www.dodge.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=YourVINhereAllCAPS using your VIN in the url to see the build sheet. Go to recalls.mopar.com enter your VIN and check for recalls. Go to www.driveuconnect.com/software-update/?origin=d enter your VIN and check for radio updates.

What year Hellcat? Color? Transmission? Be sure all of the flashes, recalls, TSBs, and scheduled services have been done before buying. Some of the 2015 models had a few issues. How much are they asking for a used car? Mileage? Remember, you can still order a new car and find new ones on the lots, so don't let the salesman tell you these things are rare and jack up the price. Good luck and welcome to the board.
