I finally got around to installing the hood. Had it painted on top and underneath B5 Blue and clear coated so you do not feel the blue edge on the top of the hood. Thank you Mike and Breanna for the installation tips and tricks, your customer service is A+.

The hood is real carbon fiber.

Ah ok.. when it was all sanded in your picture I didn't see that. Interesting as my wife and I had been discussing exactly that paint scheme on a OEM Matte hood. Yours gave us a chance to see the concept on the hoof so to speak. (less the carbon fiber)

It was the painters idea I was only going to get it clear coated, but I loved the thought of bringing the blue into the hood, since the blue is such a nice color I said go for it.

Looks sick great job. A note I see you have what looks like a BT composite catch can if that is the case I would call BT and exchange it. I had one and it hour glassed with only 2000 miles I called BT and they replaced it with the metal type at no charge. To remove it easier drive around a bit to get the temp up and it will come undone alot easier.

Yes it is. They had issues with the composite cans and may not be selling them, I just got lucky.
