Took the Bwoody Intake and one of their prototype IAT harnesses to
Innovative Motorsports last night, had a few problems on the dyno, my rear
brakes kept kicking in so we removed the ABS fuse, it seemed to help a
little but did notice unless you get the car up to about 70 mph as fast as
possible the rear brakes are going to engage, we were not able to do as
controlled runs as we wanted due to the ABS issues and the time
constraints we had. Never had this problem on the previous dyno run with
the exhaust. Spent 4 hours on the dyno with all of the issues, worst was a
strap breaking the 2nd pull, second the A/F sniffer wasn't working
correctly and then the ABS issue. After getting all the issues resolved we
began testing. I do realize the coolant temps were not ideal but please
understand we had several issues we were combating. I recorded each
reading before each run after the car was in drive and wheels just started
turning on the dyno, outside air Temp was 58 degrees, all pulls were done
in 4th gear. I believe Mike from Bwoody and Eric from ID Motorsports are
going to try and get closer temperature runs in the next few days on
Eric's car from ID Motorsports, but i'll let Mike come in here to confirm.
Looks like the new MAF only slightly increased the Torque but the negative
was the new MAF sensor kept throwing codes I believe that Mike is going
back to the drawing board on that one or completly scrapping it all
    together.

One great thing is Mike from Bwoody came out for us as promised the IAT
harness is working great it's been on my car for a little over 3 weeks ( I
was one of the 3 he sent harnesses to for testing), went to the ocean in
stop and go traffic and never threw a code once and was in traffic for
over an hour to drive around 5 miles. Car performs very well with it and
im now a very happy camper.

Anyways, 33whp gain from the Bwoody and their new harness looks very
    promising now.

    My modifications to date:

    Bone stock 644.3hp - 591.9tq

    Solo catback / stock intake (made 656.7hp - 598.4)
    Bwoody intake
    Bwoody IAT harness (currently 690hp - 609.92tq)

    Dyno numbers as follows:

    657hp - 597.76tq - Stock intake (coolant Temps 208*) (I/C Temp 81*) (IAT
    Temp 118*)

    671.89hp - 613.53tq - Bwoody Intake (coolant temps 149*) (I/C Temp 83*)
    (IAT Temp 119*)

    690.69 - 609.92tq - Bwoody intake w / IAT Harness (coolant temps 194*)
    (I/C temp 86*) (IAT Temp 101*)

    685.92hp - 615.56tq - Bwoody Intake w / IAT harness w / re-mapped MAF
    (coolant temps 159*) ( I/C temp 86*) (IAT Temp 100*)

    Here is the Dyno

so what was the HP gain for the exhaust before the BWOODY? In other words what gain exactly did BWOODY give out of the dyno result? I love the BWOODY look, but what is the actual gain off BWOODY only?..

    THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Thanks for bringing the beast up to the shop Rob. I'll swap in the dynojet air/fuel sniffer this weekend and get you back on the dyno next week. We normally use an AFM1000 and weld a bung in the exhaust, but the sniffer seems to work just as well for quick testing.

We'll use 4 straps next time, like the "high power" cars/trucks. ;)

BTW, I called Mike and ordered a Bwoody intake for my Charger. I also have a 2.85 Metco pulley, Solo exhaust, and of course we'll be custom tuning with Diablo to dial it all in. I'll post up results.

Time to do a real world test, take a car to the track make a run with the stock CAI and then make a change to the Bwoody CAI and harness.

currently we only have the three prototype harnesses that are currently all on vehicles being tested, we are waiting on the production pieces to arrive.

He did go to Dyno with just the exhaust a few weeks back, He already stated the in his opening post:

    "Bone stock 644.3hp - 591.9tq

    Solo catback / stock intake (made 656.7hp - 598.4)"

I wasn't meaning to come off defensive at you in anyway and I appologize, I woke up this morning and saw the Post, and it was clearly stated about the exhaust. We have 3 people testing this device, this is the first dyno graph, And 1 badasshellcat is not connected in anyway to us other than he was a customer, as a matter a fact he was one of the first customers to experience the over temp problem.

The post doesn't say it was edited this morning it says it was edited at 11:15 last night, again I apologize for appearing to come off harsh I definitely was not trying too. This is truly independent results, as a matter a fact Eric from ID motorsports received his intake yesterday and plans on backing the runs up to see if he gets the same results, with closer temp readings for a more apples to apples runs which is what I originally requested, but I completely understand as they were having issues on the dyno.

And it is not an "Angle" we promised a solution and we have a lot of time and money invested in it I would have been happy to just see "NO MORE CODES" but apparently he seen some HP which is great news as well.

And please look at his post again it was not all positive the new MAF sensor was a bomb, it kept throwing codes on them and actually lost power, this is the part that we were heavily invested in and is extremely disappointing.

As soon as we receive some production harnesses we would be much appreciative if you would run one on Linda's car at Cecil, I will let you know as soon as they arrive Jon.

I am in no way affiliated with BWoody or Innovative Motorsports. I posted these results to help others with products for their cars. If its going to cause issues I'll just not post any more info up and let everyone figure it out on their own. I was just being helpful and others turn it into a $hit show...

So do you need this IAT harness to run the bwoody intake? Also what does IAT stand for?
