Sorry aFe, but my Dyno results showed a loss of approx 20/20 hp/rwtq, with a surprising loss in the mid range... I installed the CAI approx 2000 miles prior to this dyno, to let the car's computer have ample time to recalibrate for the increased air flow (if it really did this accurately). I messaged aFe on this site to discuss, but they have not responded.
I did no other work to the car nor did I mess with the tune.
The owner at the shop thought it is due to the car needing to be retuned for the CAI, as it is a supercharged high performance engine....
I will probably take it off till the warranty is over, then do all the work to it.
It might be a waste if you are not ready to tune.
I would like to hear your thoughts and or see any contrary results....

BTW, top line was my base line, all stock.notice a loss of power and torque in the mid range of the band.

It looks like the SRT engineers did what they were supposed to do.... I'm not surprised. I'm sure that 100s of thousands of hours went into the design of the complete engine/drive train of our awesome cars.

It's hard to beat that engineering with a few hundred hours (if that much) of trial and error...

I still have the aFe on mine. With this much power, don't know if I have felt a difference. There is more blower whine...but I don't want to lose power. I like the look, but $500 is a lot to pay for something that looks good but doesn't live up to the claims/hype. Still on the fence.

Its been noted that AFE needs a updated Tune Up to reap the benefits.

I assume some time elapsed between the two dyno runs to get the 2000 miles with the new air-box. Was there a large ambient temperature difference? I am a big fan of keeping the engine and associated components stock. Sometimes it is just hard to do better than factory engineering but plus or minus twenty horsepower on a seven hundred horsepower engine could be in my opinion, mechanical variation error in the dyno it's self.

The general consensus is that a CAI by itself doesn't help performance.

thank you for the advice, I'm getting the feeling most owners here are leaving their cars unmodified

    still on the fence?!..
AFE reports over 20-30 HP increase out of the box.. Their words. .. And no one has been able to show a gain! I've seen nothing but the opposite.
So if being told what could be argued as lies, charged for a premium product that in reality does the opposite of your goal... Why are you on the fence? Jesse James used a gun so at least you knew you where getting robbed.,,
Yea, still pissed... Send me $450, I got magic beans that when mixed with the right octane will increase HP by the butt-Dyno load!

This why i bought the HC. Someone has done all the testing and work/engineering to get to the targeted power/performance. I am not interested in tinkering or building, I know some basics and can perform basic maintenance, but i leave the real work to pros. I am of the opinion that there is little the average owner can do to this car that will actually have a discernable difference without the use of instrumentation or telemetrics.

The engine does not need 2000 miles to calibrate. In fact it should do so over a couple of high WOT runs-but yes, it may need (according to AFE) 200 miles to try to squirt some more fuel for the increased flow.

Regardless, even in a mile long race two members here ran several runs, and both 100% stock vs 100% stock with AFE showed nearly the exact same times and MPH. So even when running for a mile straight at WOT the AFE added nothing-which I feel is unfortunate since it would be swell to get 15 more ponies with a paper element for free and not threaten your warranty.

Biggest bang for the buck so far bolt on? Probably aluminum/CF driveshafts.

    VP is correct.
The best investment at this point is Xpel and the DSS Driveshaft.
