Everyone knows OEM alarms are kind of a joke. Anyone have an aftermarket alarm on theirs?

a NRA sticker and a conceal carry gun to back it up!

mine is rarely out of my sight for long.....theft is something i never think about, but i have insurance for that stuff.....i put an alarm system on my last work truck and it would sometimes flip out, go off for no reason and not let you start the engine......the parts always seemed very cheaply made...think i paid $500-$1000 for it......guy who bought it from me also had issues with it and called me once when he got stuck......it made me not even consider an alarm system again...

The OEM system is amazing, I wouldn't change it. You'll just open electrical gremlins if the aftermarket isn't installed right or compatible. Not to mention even the viper system is buggy.

I currently have Viper alarm and GPS in my truck and have never had a problem with it. I have already had the Viper GPS installed in my Hellcat. I just am waiting for an alarm system that allows me to use my stock key fobs. Rumor has it is in the works now.

That's a thought. Needs testing. My buddies BMW alarm goes off if you jack it up, not sure if our CATs will.

Do you know the price of the system?Only problem I see with factory GPS/ALARM all the thieves know the locations of the mounting and what they look like..Spot are as small as 1 1/2 by 3 inch and you can put it anywhere it has its own battery or you can hardwire it..Thieves will not know where you put it..imo

Spot must have an unobstructed view to the sky. The EVTS works though the factory system.
