I just looked on dodge's website and saw the MSRP on the challenger hellcat is now $65,195 (which does not include $1695 destination). Wasn't it less when they announced it or am I going senile?

FYI Charger is $65,695. I am 100% sure that both models weren't only $500 when they first announced it... I vaguely remember the charger being 63,9 or 64,9 and the challenger being 62,9?

Challenger Hellcat MSRP in Canada WAS $63,995 (but has now gone up slightly)

Not really a big issue, given they are not selling them in Canada anyway!

Yes, the Dodge Challenger Hellcat went up in price a bit and if I was a betting man, it will go up again by the time they announce the colours and specs for the 2016 model year. You can't really blame Fiat Chrysler/Dodge for this as the Canadian dollar is in the toilet right now and dropping like a stone almost every day and is only going to get worst I hate to say. I read a Bank of Canada report recently and the analysts are saying that with the price of oil what is lately that by July the dollar will be trading somewhere around $1.35 and possibly $1.40 by January 2016... so buy your CDN Hellcat now while you can.

Sure the car is built in Brampton (I am about 10 minutes from the plant) but a good majority of the parts that go on the car to build it are sourced from the US as well. I work for a big American company and we held our prices as long as we could and just increased everything by 10% and some items even higher just to stay competitive.

I guess they have a "special" rate now of 3.49% regardless of the amortization you choose so it evens out if you go that route

For the exact same options my price was 66,290 when I ordered which as of today is 68,640 for an increase of 2,350. I have a POC but I'm not sure how it will hold up to them asking for more!

It says at the bottom that the POC is not an invoice so unless you have a "price protect" code on your POC it is up to the dealer

I agree we will probably see a big price increase for vehicles in Canada. If you convert to US dollars we are paying less than $55,000usd (Charger base price) also noticed some of our options are less here.
Harmon Kardon audio group $1500 Canada $1995 US
Brass Monkeys $300 Canada $395 US
Black Roof $1395 Canada $1500 US
    (Didn't check the Challenger options)
