    So I ordered a charger hellcat in dec and the msrp came to $73698 perfect!!.so car goes to D1 on the 10th with a msrp of 76,685 ok the dollar is not good and we all knew it was coming.but I had price protect on the sheet all is good. So the car had a delivery date of the 4th of April lol I knew that wouldn't happen.so today I call the GM and part owner of the dealership to see what the delivery dates had changed to because it's passed the 4th.the dates still hadn't changed but the msrp was now 78890 WTF is going on. The GM is kinda of lost with the whole thing the western Canada reps are supposed to be at his dealer today.he is going to talk to them and see what's going on he said it should not move with price protection on it. So if u have a hellcat in D1 not built yet call your dealer and check it out and post here pls!!

    I think the dollar has something to do with all these price increases, but not all. It a hot car so thats whats driving the prices up so fast. The Hellcats MSRP has increased from 63 to 69 in a matter of months. Thats almost 10%

    I don't see the Dodge caravan or any other bread and butter vehicle increasing like that in price........

    Wait wait wait, doesn't price protection on the sheet mean that you pay what you were invoiced when you signed for the order?

    Bona fide sold orders obtained by the dealer prior to (date of increase) will be price protected provided that:

    - THE CUSTOMER NAME APPEARS ON THE FACTORY ORDER PRIOR TO SHIP DATE (KZ);

    - The vehicle is delivered to the ordering customer within (10) calendar days after being received by the dealer (X date)

    - The sale is reported to Chrysler Group LLC under the DealerCONNECT system within 2 calendar days of the sale.

    Dealer must claim price protection by inserting the price protection program number on the Exception Claim Entry Screen when reporting the sale.

    Yeah, it's my guess that the last statement is the one that excludes me from saving that additional $2000 from back in Feb. No price protection for me.

    I'm afraid it's too late, at least so I'm told. My price was based on their invoice price at the time of the 'Cat going "KZ". The dealer isn't willing to share information, so I don't have much in the way of leverage.

    I think this is an issue in western Canada here in ontario dealer says my price from last JULY will be honoured!! Even thou MSRP has risen 8k SO FAR...
    That's assuming I ever see a car, with no vin after 10 months I have serious doubts
    Fairly certain we have laws in Ontario protecting us that those in western Canada do not...
    Would explain why so many unsold units went west while NONE were sent to ontario. They could make more money on folks out west so that's where the cars went. Least that's how it looks from here.
    I really hope you get the price protection, so many things with all of this that just isn't right!
