Im going a different route than most. Instead of adding more power and possibley messing with warranty and breaking the limits of the stock parts (ie tranny only holds 730hp) I have decided to get more power by dropping weight. That being said I still want a real car ie. Stero and back seat lol
So my list of weight savings mods only goes as far as ... Rotors, drive shaft, and maybe rims (not sure how much can really be saved as factory's are pretty light)...

So what else can be done? And where can we by carbon rotors for these hellcats?

I WILL BE COMPLING A LIST OF EVERYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO LOOSE WEIGHT

For all the guys adding hp I have yet to hear any tranny issues except for clutch in the M6. I have not heard of your 730 hp number yet. Where is this from and I assume it's for m6?

Not yet but they will. And yes there's many threads here which talk about the hp90 auto transmission be rated for up to 730 hp. And no I have the auto but I'm not discussing weather or not mods will break the car or void warranty because it's a fact they will I just want to know how to loose some weight

The HP90 transmission also has built in torque management in the transmission that will override any of the current tunes out there for the Hellcat. The HP 90 is rated for 1000newton-meters of torque, which equates to 737 pounds-feet of torque. Typically there is a designed in safety margin, which only recently was observed to be around the 900 horsepower mark, which at 5200 rpm is presumptively equal to torque at that speed. (Torque is actually measured, where HP is calculated)

The wiki page (on this forum) disagrees with you regarding the torque rating of the HP90. The wiki outside of there states that the 1000 N M is for diesels engines. I love to get to the bottom of this, what is the torque rating for the HP90 installed in the Hellcat?

There is a carbon fiber hood being made, I think speed logic has it, the cost is 2K.

    Billet,

What the source of that, wiki outside lists that for gasoline engines, if that the source?

Good luck in loosing any substantial weight in a Challenger/Charger and keeping the creature comforts, it is hard enough in a real race car let alone a driver and still be safe.

Here are a few items to look at
    stereo speakers
    air pump
    front and rear bumper supports
    passenger seat
    rear seat
    CF hood and trunk lid
    aftermarket wheels

I called the guys that make it. They said the stock hood was lighter. I think the stock hood is 25lbs and the cf one is 30something

Could take out the power window assemblies and use an old seat belt a' la 1968 hemi-darts, but not for street use. Losing weight is always challenging.
