Its my fault though. I forgot i left the dashcam on for a couple of weeks without firing her up for a recharge. Ive tried charging the battery with a "intellicharger",that shuts off after a few minutes saying " bad batt". Ive also tried jump starting with another vehicle (while running of course) and had no luck. Contacted the dealer and they said have it towed in, its covered under warranty. Its got less than 2000 miles on it and i have a problem having towed in. Im thinking theres a reset procedure or something? Anybody had this issue?

Use a proper battery charger or remove it from the vehicle and take it in to get charged and tested.

If you ran the battery completely dead they can freeze... so make sure it's not froze before you hook a charger to it... they can go boom! Also... if it is really dead charge it slowly. If you can avoid towing I would... I broke an axle on my 2009 SRT and figure I'll have it towed. Lets just say they guy with the rollback wrecker wasn't as careful as I would have liked.

    I agree with fnkychkn
Those intellichargers will not charge a stone dead battery!
You will have to use a different style of charger inwhich you can manually control the current or Amperage.
I would start with 10 amps for an hour and then taper it down to 3 Amps,it may take up to 24 hours or more to fully charge at that rate, depending on the Amp/Hr rating of the battery!
In a pinch you can jump start the battery directly, with one of those lithium "booster pack"but you will have to let the car battery charge a little first because the electronics of vehicle suck down allot of current at " ign. On"
    Good luck!

Something you can control manually ie: select amperage like 3amps or 10 amps,
And has an ammeter built in so you can see when charging is complete, ammeter goes down. Some of these types are stand up models with wheels and have a booster function. Depends on what you are wanting!

I'm sure the one you bought is a good one, just not appropriate for this task. As FAFH said, If the battery was completely depleted, you will need a manual charger to resurrect it.

You guys are absolutely correct about this charger. Ended up taking battery to Oreily where they tested/charged for free, reinstalled and she fired right up. Thanks everybody.
