I know most are gonna say the stock exhaust system is just fine and I do believe that but I'm just curious to see what some of you have installed .solo ,borla ,magna flow ,etc .i recently cut out my mid mufflers earlier in the week and I have to say it's a little to loud for my taste at wide open throttle and the initial cold start up is just nuts

    Pics also would be nice

does cutting the mid pipes or resonators out and replacing them with straight pipe affect your warranty in any way?

Just as much as replacing the exhaust with a cat back.

The only thing I could see effecting warranty is if you mess with the exhaust baffles.

But no, warranty won't be an issue.

Hey...this is Steve from Solo Performance. We have 3 catback kits for the Hellcat. All retain use of the valves. The quietest one is our Mach kit, which is only about 10-15% louder and deeper than stock. Our Mach Shorty kit is 25% louder and deeper, and our Street Race is about 40% louder and deeper than stock. I have had all three on my car, so feel free to PM or call me anytime.

So do we...I'm trying mine with a 3.5" DS this week...so that should give me an idea how much room we will have.

I'm waiting to see if Corsa will make an extreme cat back for our cars. Had that kit on my heads cam srt8 with kooks Lt's and the sound was awesome. Zero drone and screamed under wot.

The "Rule of Thumb" as described to me is anything aft of the catalytic converters does not constitute a warranty violation. I removed my resonators (back by the tail pipe) and had ZERO warranty issues.

The Magnusson-Moss Law states that in order for your warranty to be voided on a particular part, the dealership would have to prove that whatever aftermarket part they are blaming caused the issue with the car that you brought it in for.

With that being said, they can refuse to work on the car, but they can't void the warranty without proof to prove the aftermarket part caused the issue.

This is where a lot of dealers will get away with lying to the uneducated consumer.
