Ok, didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I plan on installing the NoWeeds exhaust diverter, upper pulley and tune. Now the question is, what effect/advantage/disadvantage is there to leaving OR deleting the cats?

Only if your in an emission testing state. I have Hi flow cats on my car that might be an option.

They help to quiet the car down and cut down on fumes. I have a older car so it was easy to fine. Are you looking for a performance increase or just sound?

I would see what exhaust setup Topcat is running. The factory exhaust is still pushing out 707 with cats.

Federal law requires emission equipment to not be tampered with. For states without emission testing, it does not mean removing your cats is legal.

I'm not sure that the power gained by removing the cats is worth smelling like exhaust everytime you drive the car....

Messing with your cats here in AZ can get your car impounded and up to $50K in fines, not to mention jail time. For 5 to10 hp, not worth it.

We don't have this problem here. My objective here was to find out if anyone had done straight cat delete and found any performance improvement or not. I haven't found any "high performance cats" for us yet so will just leave alone for now. Just thought when I am installing the No Weeds system that would be a good time to remove/replace.

I dont have any personal experience with the cats on the Hellcat, but in the GT500 world there was basically no gains to be had when removing cats. I had an off-road exhaust on my 2013 GT500 (no cats) and while it was definitely louder, the power was the same as with them on. If I had to wager, I would assume the hellcat would be in the same boat. In my opinion, its in no way worth doing at all.

I gained 5 hp and a CEL when I removed them from my 2008 SRT Challenger. I put them back on.

You can clear the CEL and gain more HP by removing the cats and getting tuned. Using O2 Spacers/Duds
