True, but keep in mind that if these two cars meet on the highway, the Hellcat still wins.
Tight winding road and it's all Viper.

Stock vs stock on a roll and the viper will get the cat. look at the weights and power to weight ratio on each car. The viper is very nasty from 50mph to top end. If there are any turns is game over for the cat . I have both and love both .Two different cars both have strengths . A modded Cat is a crazy 1/4 beast . The viper is a true american super car it does everything very well but cant be the best at everything. :)

I think in the real world although yes I am biased the Challenger Hellcat provides the best balance of performance. It is comfortable and has a fair amount of mechanical grip. Good enough to stay with most stuff through the corners. The Viper ACR is an awesome piece of kit but appears to be too track focused.

Love the Viper....but I dig on the Hellcat Charger, BMW M5 and the new Caddy CTS-V. I love a fast fun car that can also be a viable all around car for the family.
So a 4 door sedan that can hang with dedicated sports cars on the highway and hot 204 MPH...absolutely insane!

I gotta say... I don't own a Viper but I wish I did... I like them both and if I can only have one it would be the Hellcat as I'm a muscle car guy not really a sports car guy... but the Viper is Bad Azz Muscle car in a sports car skin! ;)

1/4 mile or road course. roll starts are just made up. lets just stop the whole what a car would do from a roll. just silly. Roll start. LOL. Just stop it.

The reality, quoted to me a billion times, is that 99% of races are from a roll on a highway. Unsafe, irresponsible, dumb, call it what you will, it's the truth.

And the Hellcat accounts for itself very well in such situations.

Where are those stats from? Just curious. With over 300 drag strips in the U.S. and I have no idea how many road coarses. How many races happen at these per year? I know these roll races happen all the time, but there is no way to put a number on it. It doesn't mean it's any good as a measuring stick. It is not an accurate way to race two cars. Those doing this I would refer to as morons and wouldn't put any weight to what a moron says.
