Ok so today was driving to a driving experience with my 12 year old he was doing a landrover off road driving experience. I was driving down the A19 in the UK and there was a speed camera van parked on the flyover of the A19. It was on the opposite carriageway pointing upwards towards me, I think I was doing maybe 90 when I saw it. (in a 70).

Not sure if if would pick me up or if it was set to be catching those who where on the other carriageway or if it would catch both sides of the carriageway.

Either way, feeling pretty deflated at the moment and will need to wait 14 days to see if I been caught. If I have I will probably struggle to get insurance on this car in uk (or they will take my eyes out with an excessive policy).

Good luck. Much rather have a face to face with the law to plead my insanity. Cameras don't give a hoot.

90 in a 70? I would be deflated or embarrassed too... Anything less than 120 is downright pathetic. I am disappointed in you. You better start trying harder.

On a serious note, they don't have "supervision" in the UK? In the US that's when the local government agency will increase the fine and not tell your insurance agent of the ticket.

Last two times ive been pulled over were in my HC 93 in a 75 and 51 in a 45. its the only car I get pulled over in. They were both radar hits. I guess I should get an escort?

Laser jammers are illegal in the UK and using one will get you probably a worse fate than the points/fine :(

We used to have Photo radar here in Ontario the ticket would go to the owner of the vehicle. It would in no way affect your insurance as they could not tell who was driving. We have red light cameras up here the owner of the vehicle get th ticket it in no way affects your insurance. Just a $$$ grab, to affect your insurance you must be pulled over by a cop. I don't think it can get u coming the photo radar only works in the direction of traffic
