Anyone know if the backup camera contrast on the 2015 Challenger (SRT 392 in my case) can be adjusted? I was trying to back into a parking spot this morning (overcast, not sunny, but not dark out), and the backup camera display was so dark that I could not see any of the lines or curb on the parking lot. Basically, all I was seeing was a bright upper half (which was sky), and a dark lower half (parking lot), with the red-yellow-green lines superimposed over it. Pretty much useless, as the cars on either side of the spot were completely lost in the dark part of the image.

I'm a bit surprised at the poor quality of the image, as my '014 Ram 3500 has an excellent backup camera, with a crisp / clear display.

Any tips / suggestions, or should I be looking at having the dealer replace the camera?

have a backup camera on our new 2015 GMC truck....wife says the HC is way nicer than her trucks's.....if you think the HC camera is bad look at what GMC is offering...i think my HC backup camera is great....i dont use it, but whenever i glance at it it looks good to me

maybe you need to clean off the lens?

Perhaps a local alley cat, envious of the attention of the big new alpha tomcat in the neighborhood, pissed on your backup camera lens. Bet if you wash it off, you'll have better results, as mine works great with nice clarity.

Mine works okay and I use it as it's a tight squeeze into the garage

I feel like the cameras on these are worse than what was on my '13 - that one was higher FPS and sharper.

Mine is great during the day, but at night the image gets pretty grainy/fuzzy

Yeah this is the worst clarity I've had on a backup camera especially at night looking grainy

I have the same issue. My 2014 ram 3500 is much clearer. The hellcat is dark.

Has anyone looked up, is there an aftermarket one that may be better, HD etc that fill fit in the factory opening?

I've got a 2014 Ram 3500 too, and the camera on my Hellcat is on par with the Ram. Both are clear and work great! Maybe your cameras have something wrong with them.....

My camera works, I just felt like the one on my 2013 was better. It was slightly more clear, and it looked like it was more frames per second.

In general, this new uConnect is pretty damn sluggish. The performance page's speed are garbage compared to last generation's. The EVIC is fine, but on the 8.4 screen they are laggy. I also hate the new navigation. It's more difficult to use due to the layout, and it's slower to respond. I loved being able to input ZIP codes to quickly narrow the search - now it seems I can't do that!

To me the nav unit is 10X better than my 2011 Ram 3500.
