I have a 5 yr old child and would be interested in hearing from anyone else who uses a Challenger as their died to day transport as to how child friendly it is in the back e.g. enough room?

Not exactly sure what you mean by 'their died', but if you are asking if there is enough room in the backseat, then yes, especially for a child.

My wife climbed back there, (5' 7" 180 lbs), said she could ride back there for a bit while my brother (whom i'd like to see climbing in and out of the back!) rides in the front. Charger has 4 doors, which would be MUCH easier. I would not worry about a 5 year old back there in a Challenger though, there is plenty of room! IMO Good luck, have fun! Jim in Minneapolis

Jim, many thanks for the prompt reply that's the news I was hoping to hear. My wife prefers the look of the Challenger, we've been along to look at a Hellcat and it seemed roomy but I was after a real world point of view like yours to confirm things. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

My pleasure Dickie!! I'm sure I'll be sticking my 22 & 24 year olds back there sometime together too! I know they will be riding in comfort! Jim

My 11 year old daughter rode in the back seat for a 250 mile trip and said it was comfy with plenty of room for her and all of her junk lol. iPhone , iPad, Rainbow loom etc... Lol

where is the car seat? behind the passenger seat or center of the back seat? Just curious as I'm in the same boat (6 year old son)

Absolutely. I haul 3 teenage girls in my Chalenger and, although a little squished, there is so much leg room in front that you can scoot up to allow space for the back seat riders. I think the back middle is the most uncomfortable, but did not get much complaints aside from leg room in the middle...of course their choice in music almost KILLED the driver:confused: if you don't know who 5 SOS is, be very very glad:)

I have a 6 year old that has been riding in the back of mine since he was 3, no issues what so ever...Well unless ya hate little foot prints on the back of your seat :D Once he was able to climb in and buckle himself in it really became nice ;)

i have two 4 year olds and an 8 year old. i test fit them in a challenger at the auto show...im sure a charger would be better but im not sure i want to go that route yet. Our day to day routine has never required me to have all 3 boys in my magnum at the same time so it may be a non issue

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like I shouldn't have too many problems. Car seat is to go behind passenger, and my girl can buckle herself in. and put more than a few footprints on the seat in front (Cream leather at the minute in my Beetle)
