Changing an option once in D status...

    Car is currently in D status... Not even D1. Can the dealer still change an option on a car at this point. Im just looking to change seat color on the Laguna leather option...

    Tried doing a search, but cant find a definitive answer.

    • D: Firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available
    • D1: Gateline schedule - scheduled to be built
    • From what I read on this site once D1 you can't change the order

    I shudder to think...probably kick your order into limbo, end up on a lot under eight feet of snow, not found until the black hood snafu gets resolved in 2016!

    Your dealer should have been able to tell you that, You could cancel the order and re-order

    My salesman said he didnt think so either, but was going to talk to the gentleman that does the ordering... And there is no way Im going to cancel..lol

    My car was D1 and I made a change. The dealer cannot do it directly. The dealer has to work through the dealers district representative at his business center. The business center makes the changes. When I did this the car went back to D status for a week, the the order system was updated with the changes and went back to D1. Your car being at D it should be no problem. It took approximately 5 business days for the changes to be reflected on the dealers order system.
