    Hey everyone,

This is my first post on HC.org after lingering in the shadows for the last few months. Anyway, I'm considering pulling the trigger on a 2015 Charger at my local dealer. It's Phantom Black with brass monkey wheels, Laguna leather, Harmon audio, and Nav.

The dealer's original price was $83,000

Once I showed some waning interest, they dropped it to $77,000

Started talking with them a little more, and now their at $75,000, but they still have a BS "Zurich Protection Pack" tacked onto the car for $1,900 (included in the price already), that they're refusing to take off.

So, is the current price at $75k reasonable? Based on everything I've been reading, it seems like its going to be extremely difficult to get an honest MSRP price on a Charger Hellcat, but I don't want to be a fool and waste my money here. I also understand that these are market forces because of the tiny amount of inventory out there right now.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

hold out to pay MSRP. If they have been sitting on it they will take it.

Since they are local, tell them you're interested in an extended warrantee. But offer $70K.

Personally I wouldn't pay over sticker. However if you get a 2016 then you are paying the markup from Chrysler.
Decide what the car is worth to you and go from there. That paint stuff though is bs.

LOL...ok. I take it you're the resident ADM protection force on this site.

What exactly is the ADM? Is the MSRP around 68K? If so it is a 7K ADM. If we can get the deal under 4K ADM it is cheaper than ordering or buying a 2016 at MSRP. Now some will say the car is already a model year old so depreciation has to be factored. I keep my cars performance cars for a long time so that is not a factor to me,

The window sticker on this one has a listed "TOTAL PRICE" of $70,565 (including gas guzzler, destination, etc). I'm also planning on keeping this car for a significant amount of time, so short term depreciation isn't a real concern for me either.

The dealer then has a secondary sticker listing the "Dealer Adjustment" and their various "Customer Preferred Package" add ons, which brought the original price to $83,000.

This is more of a side-note question, but can a non-SRT certified dealership order/get an allocation of Hellcats? Reason I'm asking, is because this particular dealer isn't listed on the SRT site (there are two others in my area, but no SRT's at all on their lots), so I'm just wondering how they go it.

Here's something to consider, especially if ResumeSpeed's numbers are accurate, there were only 1334 HC Chargers produced in MY 15. That's waaaaay small numbers. If you like the one you have an opportunity to buy, in its FIRST production year, I'd say beyond the fun you'll have, there's a potential investment sitting on those tires. Then again, it's your money, not mine.

Yeah, so I don't think this deal is going to happen, mainly because they went back on their word when I asked for a written quote after negotiating (and waiting) over the phone these last few days.

They came back with $78,000 as the selling price, and said they were "giving me a gift [discounting it from $83k], since I've been a loyal customer in the past". I protested, gave them some stats about median sales prices and what not, and the sales rep responded with BS about how a Charger Hellcat JUST sold at auction two weeks ago for $90k and that they were giving me a great deal blah blah blah.

Edit: sales rep just texted me saying she spoke with "their boss" and they would discount the car an additional $1,500 for today only. Lol, what a riot..
