Anyone else had this happen to them yet? I only have 350 miles so surprised to see this already.

    Note nick by valve stem.

3 of my rims had damage exactly like that from transport. Dealership replaced all 4 rims shortly after i took delivery.

Yes within a week or so then a couple more over time. None as of yet on new cat but expecting them. I have brass monkey now so maybe won't show as bad plus good rim shop that's an easy fix

Yeah, saw those valve stem caps, but am still deciding if they're a bit over the top, or not. :)

Thanks everyone, at least now I know its normal.

A Sharpie is your friend. Push/dab the tip into the chip.

Check with your dealer, there are some good wheel guys that can touch that up and you'll never know.

if you fix it expect to pay yearly to keep fixing it.....

ive got a chip or 2 also....unless you just park your car in the garage and stare at it instead of driving it its going to happen...

there are little kids in China painting your wheels...they are not finished well.....just wait until you see what they will look like when you get new tires.....

    dodge has cheap Chinese rims
    Dodge has a Mexican engine

its a dodge.....i think if you did a poll most of us would have a chip like that on our rims too....just wait for 40,000 miles and what they will look like

I don't get your point. Are you saying only dodge rims are made in China and only dodge makes cars in Mexico that's why they get chipped? Ford ,Chevy and other wheels don't get chipped? Where are those magic wheels rims made that don't get chipped?

my point is the rims have an extremely cheap finish on them...basically spray paint...

i own a 13 gt500 also....when i put Nitto's on the back of both of them it was more difficult to keep the HC rims from scratching because the finish is litterally spray paint...while the GT500 is a multistep paint process to get the color and a harder finish....my gt500 has more miles, but less damage.....I dont know if the Ford wheels are made in China or not....but they have a much nicer finish

i just brought up the Mexican engine to prove the point that Dodge makes a cheap car....for $65k you get a ton for your $$....they skimp to get that price point.....the engine isnt hand made in the USA like Ford does and the wheels are spray painted in China.........Ford has(or had) a trans. made in China...lots of problems with it.....they cheaped out.........just trying to make you realize your rims will always chip....and why...because they are cheap

Oh that's sounds better. Do you know if the monkey wheels chip the same way or is it the same cheap paint just charge you more?

same little Chinese boy with a different colored spray can...no mask, probably 8 years old...making 1 cent per rim from Dodge......destroying his lungs so you can have your precious HC rim.....

from what ive been told the brass monkey is the same paint job.......

the Ford GT500 rim is like a 3 stage painting process.......the HC is 1...point/spray---flat black krylon

once again----i dont know if Ford makes its rims in China too......no guarantee on that....100% guarantee the finish is an actual finish, not a spray can finish

funny thing is HC rim owners want $3,500 for a set of their rims....while GT500 owners want $2,500 or less......they made 9,000 13/14 GT500's....they will make 40,000+ HC's over the next few years.....i have no idea why the HC rims sell so high.....but then i never got why people paid $5-10k adm either.....id like a spare set of HC rims (just in case)......im going to wait until they are $1,500.....at some point mid run i expect Dodge to change the design and everyone will want the new HC rim----endless supply of RT's who want to pretend to be HC's i guess
