I just purchased a clay bar mitt from amazon. I have yet to use it but it claims to work just like a clay bar but washable and reusable. Has anyone had the chance to try one yet?

I'll post reviews on it once I get the chance to use it probably closer to the end of april.

Which mitt did you get? I've seen the Eagle One in parts stores and now that you've brought it up I watched some YouTube videos showing Chemical Guys and others using the mitts and clay bars. I've only used clay bars for a few years and love what they do to paint, even on new cars. I'm not sure how the mitts work. For instance, if you drop the mitt on the ground, do you have to throw it away like you do for a clay bar? How do you wash the mitt?

It's called a kleanmitt from Klaren. It says to clean it with your favorite car wash soap. It warns not to let it dry with the clay part of the mitt folded on it self.
I'll be using it on one of my older cars first then if it works I'll move to the cat.

I will check this out royal. We have a vendor that does mobile detailing, he has told me before there is no substitute for clay bar itself as far as best working. I would worry abt dirt in the mitt, that's why I want to check it out

These "clay substitute" prep mitts, towels, pads, etc. do work, but I don't typically advise using them unless you plan to polish your car afterward since there is a greater chance of marring than with a regular clay bar.

I know clay bars come in different levels of aggressiveness. I saw the same for the mitts from Chemical Guys.

True; however even the mildest of the mitts has a higher chance of marring than most common clay bars. That has been my experience, at least, and I've used several different variations of them.
