Did a pulley swap and 160 stat just over a week ago. Cars been running great. Put about 600 miles on it. Yesterday got on it getting on the freeway and the p00a3 code popped up. I pulled the battery cable and it was gone. Took it for a drive, got back on it and the light came back on with the same code. Any help would be appreciated!

If it will permenantly clear it takes 3 times. Meaning drive, shut off completely, do that 3 times.

    P062A-FUEL PUMP CONTROL PERFORMANCE

    Theory of Operation

When the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives a ‘Start’ or ‘Run’ signal,
it energizes the Fuel Pump relay which sends a continuous 12 volt supply to the
Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM). The PCM also sends a Pulse Width Modulated
(PWM) control signal directly to the FPCM which regulates the PWM voltage that
will be sent to the Fuel Pump Module. The PWM will vary from 10-100% depending
on the input of the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor and other engine demands. The PCM
receives a PWM signal from the FPCM representing the state of all inputs and
outputs of the FPCM. This is a Constant Pressure Fuel system which means any
pressure test performed on the Fuel Pump would show a continuous pressure
(regardless of the changes in PWM). If a pressure sensor fails or other failures
are present; The duty cycle goes to a default setting (80%) to maintain fuel
    pressure.

    When Monitored and Set Conditions

When Monitored: This diagnostic runs continuously when the following
    conditions are met:

    • Engine running
    • Battery voltage
      greater than 11.0 volts

    Set Conditions:

    • The Powertrain Control
Module (PCM) detects a difference between theVariable Speed Fuel Pump pressure
      Actual and Desired.

    Default Actions:

    • Fault is set on the
first trip that the diagnostic fails.
    • When this DTC is set,
the Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM) will continue to run the Fuel Pump Module at
      100% duty cycle.
    • The MIL will be turned
off on the third consecutive trip that the diagnostic passes.
