Huh. Only heard something similar with other jeep, Chrysler products. Radio security updates prevented hackers taking control of vehicles. There were a lot of Chrysler vehicles affected

While this may or may not make you feel better, I believe they must have your VIN first. So it's not like someone can just drive up beside you while you're on the road and "hack' you....

Totally untrue....there was some years that the PCM was vulnerable to hacking but flash updates take care of this....your dealer is full of ****...

Google jeep Cherokee hackers or hacking. They could potentially do that however the chance is very remote. The media as usual blows things way out of proportion. Good news never sells like bad news.

Chrysler and many of the major auto makers have had certain pcm information embedded that was rock solid and unable to be hacked. If there is a guy or people out there that do nothing but hack into computer systems. But is very possible much like your phone being hacked or as simple as your stealing your credit card number by skimming

This hacking is old news...about a year ago someone did hack into a Chrysler made vehicle and take control just to show they could...Chrysler came with an update to prevent this but only a few models were vulnerable.

They probably have an attorney on retainer who has to come up with something so he can bill hours...

It was a TSB because they had a patch to solve the security vulnerability. Nothing for you to worry about now.
