Well I finally fell in line with many of you, I noticed a burning smell (not a sweet smell, thought a plastic bag I passed without seeing it in the rear view mirror was stuck and melting). Well coolant level is way low. No warning lights yet. Can I just top it off with some coolant from the auto store to get her to the dealer or will mixing the coolant with another type a bad thing? Intercooler level is perfect

I think you'd be better adding distilled water rather than the wrong type of antifreeze.

Agreed. Water is a more efficient coolant anyway. A little bit is not going to hurt anything.

Mine just had a slow leak also before they tore it out and piled it with the rest of the trash. I drove it in, no problem. But it never got "low".

To the best of my knowledge no aftermarket chemical makes a direct drop in coolant for the Mopar Purple 10 year coolant.
Thus the reason its 45.00 per gallon. Mopar controls the supply.

I just spoke to local Dodge parts department price has come down its now about 25.00/gal

I threw a little distilled water in last night back to the cold fill level. Ran it hard in the evening (b/c some POS modded scion wanted to try and pull on me off the line at a red light...gave him a couple 3.7sec 0-60 pulls and sent him back to the internet to search for more go fast parts). Checked this morning and I was at the bottom of the cold fill range so she's heading to the dealer soon to get a checkup.
