I had a bit of a scare tonight. I had just pulled up to the curb in front of a house I was visiting and white smoke started billowing out of the hood vents. I hustled out and quickly opened the hood. I could smell coolant and could hear fluid boiling on the exhaust. I shined a flashlight down towards the sound and saw a small stream of coolant spraying from a pin hole in the bottom of the plastic coolant reservoir. I opened the cap a quarter turn to relieve the pressure and the leaking stopped. I was able to drive home that way with no more smoke or fluid loss. Heading in to the local dealer tomorrow to get a new reservoir. Should be a quick and easy fix. But, it had me scared for a few moments.
