Got a set of Focal K2 165 KRX3 speakers for my fronts powered by a Focal 900.6 (150x6) and finally got the tweeter and mid-range in the pillars done.

Got a couple of surprises coming as well... should be really cool.

    Thank you!

I really don't. But whenever I do damn near anything in life I get tunnel vision and learn all i can. I research best techniques, products and do's and don'ts... spent the last 4 months learning everything from birch vs mdf to differences in sound absorbing materials.

So now i pretty much know what products I want and the type of installs... so i wont get talked into something I dont want because of a salesman lol

How did you get the A pillars to look so perfect with the speakers in it? The larger speaker has a flared opening. Are these aftermarket pillars?

These are custom made using body filler, fiberglass and angled precisely

There is no aftermarket option because each tweeter, midrange, ect would have its own specific dimensions.

Also, some people would only use a 2 way (tweeter, woofer) and other like me would use a 3 way (tweeter, midrange, midbass)... also people would use different product lines and manufactures.

So the only way to do this is to find a high end custom audio shop and have them create them for you.

Your bio says your from long island... should be lots of good shops around there i would think.

Stop by one and get creative.

I had a competition system in my older car and it was very extensive in terms of custom work. Those pillars came out fantastic. I was thinking they had to be one-offs. That is some impressive stuff…great choice on the speakers as well. I had Morels in my last car.

    Nicely done Doc!

Do you mind me asking where did you get the vinyl and where are you tapping into for the signal to the Bit One?

Nice work indeed, I am also wondering what is feeding the bit one. This is preventing me from starting my audio build.

    Thanks for any insight .....
