First of all, I'm glad this forum exists because I may need some of you help talk me off the bridge a few times, as I as I travel the path to acquire "this elusive Hellcat". So... I spoke with a salesman at a dealer yesterday about getting on their waiting list (in San Diego). He, as other sales associates, still believe that there will only be 1500 Challenger Hellcats for year 2015 (which we all now know is false) and that they are getting two, which the buyers paid over MSRP for, (He wouldn't say how much). I then decided to venture to a different dealer today to get info on their Hellcat qty and waiting list status. (Here's where it gets good)- This dealer told me that I had to come back on Monday to speak with a specific gentleman to be placed on the waiting list. He told me that there were between 30 and 300 on the list, but that's all he could say. then another sales guy came over to tell me that they were allocated 2 Challenger Hellcats - one of which they themselves, paid over MSRP, just to have a 2nd Hellcat to sell. (It gets better)- He then told me that they had a buyer who offered $250K for the Hellcat, which led them to decide to sell their 2 Hellcats through their own SILENT AUCTION!!! Is that even legal? I laughed and walked out. Pissed!
