Does anyone know how a dealer with no current allocation but with a sold order in BX knows they will get the car. Will the Dealerconnect pages inform them that they got an allocation, if and when they get it, or does the status of the BX car just change.

I highly doubt any insider would say. Could be legal or breach of confidentiality agreement when they are using the systems and work for that dealership using this site. Just a thought

I am not asking for someone to check, just asking how does the dealer know. Something must tell a dealer they have an allocation. Does someone call them up and say, "we see you have a sold order in BX you will have an allocation" or email, or Dealerconnect page. A dealer must find out somehow.

I would think that a dealer will be notified with an allocation number and that number must be applied to a particular VON/BX in order to move forward. Alloc would most likely come in an email, but just guessing.

When they review inventory and orders it will tell them just like it does for any other vehicles they have ordered for inventory.

They have a page that tells them what status all their orders are in. Also a page that says allocation balance sheet. It show how many orders they have and how many allocations they have of each car and trim level.

No current allocation and an order in bx means that order is in no danger of being built.

Are you saying then, that a dealer with no allocation, but has a sold HC order in BX, will get the allocation and will be able to deliver the car? ,,,,, at sometime in the future anyway.

They should be able to get one and sell it. I have not heard of any dealer being on a black list of any kind. It's just a matter of time. Like most folks on here that order is valid and just needs to be picked up.

No, it is not a guarantee that the order will be built. All it means is that it is a valid order and is acceptable to be build should it come up for selection.
