I continue to be amazed at dealers this far into the process. A San Diego Dealer just received (on 2/6) a Sublime six speed with black Laguna and Brass Monkey wheels. He sent out a group email to prospective buyers to announce, with pics.

    I decided to reply...
"I'll take it off your hands at MSRP. Cash money!"
    His response...
"I like the cash money part.
Chrysler has recently told us these HellCats are going to be extremely limited production. Let me know if you would like a private viewing, I have one Monday morning"

    I responded again...
I think, unfortunately, most dealers are uninformed. To date, over 2,100 Challenger Hellcats have been built. California has received 160 as of Tuesday. Keep in mind, these numbers represent the first 3 months of production. They current production numbers have pushed beyond 700 Hellcats (Challengers) produced in January, with the ability to bump up from 800-1000 monthly. They have also extended 2015 production through September, from July. If you do the math, "extremely limited" is not the term to use because it it is quite false. By the way, I already ordered my Hellcat in November at MSRP. I was just seeing if you'd bite.

Please take me off your email list

    Thanks,

    Wow!

Great responses! Way to educate the douche bag dealer. Too bad they might find some idiot that hasn't found this forum that may actually fall for his mark up justification.

They're all gonna try. The problem isn't so much the dealers charging the mark up, it's those willing to pay ridiculous amounts over sticker. They do it because they know they can. If everybody refused to buy cars with mark ups, this wouldn't happen.

So my paying above MSRP is the reason you don't have a car? My time is worth more than money to me. If 10k is enough to knock you out of the game, you didn't come ready to play anyway.

Then you are in that 3% to 5% bracket that has money to blow away regardless of cost. Not many middle class folks have $10K extra to throw at purchasing a Hellcat that was priced exactly for that population of people.

We're just trying to prove a point moneybags. Loyalists are scraping up their hard earned dollars together to get one of these. So... Maybe you're the reason this persists... Perhaps?

I dont get mad at people paying over msrp, but pretentious people who say stuff like this makes me laugh. Shouldn't you be over on the Porsche forums.

The "Wow" to me is: class warfare, to blaming others who paid more, to blaming those that placed more then one order. damn ya'all shits getting old!
it's the Rich guys fault- makes me laugh the most.. From the guy/gal buying a $65k auto. THE MAJORITY OF THE REST OF EARTH THINKS YOUR WHAT YOU ACCUSE OTHERS OF! ... Well, by golly it's that guy paying adjusted market, it's their fault! How a person spends their cash is their business, one member went as far as "attacking" a terminal ill dude that got what he wanted now.. And of course the idiot fool who ordered from several dealers to insure they got one at MSRP. Yep - that's the idiots F'd it up for everybody else!! Dang people, grow the hell up, quit blaming everybody else for you not having the toy you want right away. Some yall treat your cars better than the fellow human race.
    ... K rant over..

That's cool but the "wow" your quoting had nothing to do with class warfare or blaming him for paying over msrp. The "wow" was him basically calling us all poor. So perhaps while your talking about how we treat others, maybe your rant should be directed at the "rich" guy.
