2016-03-28 17.18.12.png 2016-03-28 17.19.12.png I have multiple, at least 10, areas in my clear coat that look like this. Runs, cloudy and black specks. You can actually feel the raised areas where it is built up and has run.
Anyone else have this issue? What did or would you do about it? Any recourse thru FCA?

I had a b5 blue hellcat customer that had runs in he clear coat on the driver side sill. He had zero issues getting it covered. Makes you wonder how the heck they missed that during qc. Take it to your dealer have them take pics and submit a digital imaging claim. Make sure you also ask for a loaner vehicle. Calm, cool and collected will get you where you need to go

might not be factory paint--you know these cars can get port work or dealer work and it doesn't have to be reported by law.

I have 2 areas on mine as well. Thankfully nothing on the exterior. Never had any paint issues with my other 2 challengers.

No defects found on the B-5...One very small spec of trash on the A-pillar of the Pitch Black...not enough IMO to risk repairing .

Mine has them in all 4 door sills, on the inner door surface, bottom side of hood, tops of both fenders under the hood, and in the trunk lip area. Too many to ignore and very unsightly when the doors are open.

The dealer recoated my hood without any issue. Very apologetic. I'm still working on them for the paint itself. I find it's very thin. After only 3000kms I have tons of stone chips where you can see the base coat. In comparison my ram has 60,000 more Kms and doesn't have this issue at all. It almost looks like the car is dusty but if you look close its chips.

That is true about the mud flaps. I do need some for the sides, however the hood and front faring look horrible as well. I was going to 3m but it's so bad I thought I should get it repainted first. I was also considering having the whole car wrapped but the b5 looks great if you're 50ft away.

It's strange to hear some of you have so many paint chips. I bought Mopar mud flaps for my 2010 SRT8 when I purchased the car, but never put them on. I just sold it two weeks ago and the paint looked amazingly good. There were barely more than one or two chips. I checked with the parts manager and those mudflaps only fit up to 2014, but he said he'd return them to stock and get me the new style mudflaps. I hope the paint on my 2016 holds up as well.

That's because the Ram is not as low as the Hellcat. Thinner paint chips less than thick paint.
