I just received the paper work the other day and sat down and read it. On one of the pages the explains what not is covered is "RACING AND TIME TRAILS" WTF! Why bother to build in all the timers in the performance pages!

I'm considering purchasing an extended warranty. Anyone know what is considered a good price?

For those interested, I was just quoted $1118 for Maximum Care until 2020/60k or $1400 2020/75k. My SRT is not my daily, averaging less than 5k miles a year. I may end up going the 60k route...

I bought mine a month later from an out of state dealer. 7 years, 60,000 miles $100 Deductible It was $1615. A side note - the warranty is from date of delivery of the vehicle, not the date of warranty purchase. Mine is covered until Feb 2023

Thanks for the info. Do you know if it was Max Care or Added Care?

Was it 100% refundable if no claims are made during the warranty period?

    No.
It's a "service contract", or an insurance policy. You may cancel at any time and receive a pro-rated refund. The amount will depend on the length of time the contract was in force.

I got my mopar maxcare for $2160. 7 years, 100K miles, $100 deductible. About $200 down payment and paying the rest monthly over two years interest free. The maxcare is worth every penny from my experience. I got one for my Grand Cherokee and I've had a torque converter, rear diff seal, front shock/strut, and most recently a brand new transmission replaced. About $10k in parts and labor so it's way more than paid for itself. Got 5 days of free rental car too. There are so many gadgets and gizmos on this car that something is bound to break on it. My only regret is that I didn't get it sooner, they stopped offering the lifetime option a few months after I found my 392.

I have a 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8 that just turned over 200,000 miles last week. It runs 12.7@111 and has been very reliable. Looking back the warranty would have been a waste of money on this car. I'll be selling it to get a 2015 Charger 392 in January. I don't think I'll get the warranty unless it comes with a certified plan (which is always built into the price).
