I was doing some reading last night...

Did you know the rear axle has a 230mm (9.0") ring gear. The ring gear is welded to the carrier for increased strength and efficiency.

As of right now only the seals, mounting bushings and fluid are replaceable items. If you have defective gears and/or bearings the entire axle assembly gets replaced.

Recommended fluid for all SRT's (including the Hellcat) is 75W90. That surprised me as I would have guessed it was 75W140. I guess they are going for efficiency. It didn't say but I'd I'm guessing the spec is for a GL-5 oil. Maybe one of the techs on site can confirm.

Good info. Hopefully these rears dont howl after a few launches with DRs like the previous ones did...

    The SRT Owner's Manual indicates a synthetic GL-5 75W85 and not 75W90.

    Clarification:
The 1st edition printed owner's manual indicates a synthetic Castrol GL-5 75W90 while the 3rd edition electronic version just downloaded from dodge.com indicates a synthetic Mopar GL-5 75W85.
