I borrowed the Hellcat Charger this time around, and rather then beat the Hell out of it, I, once again, drove it like I own it.

Cool...a great article that explains why the Charger Hellcat is unique in the marketplace.

Tuxedo and night at the opera or jeans/t-shirt and day at the track with kids...this car does it all.

    YES, Yes, oh, yes!
My family definitely needs (at least) this much HP!
On a daily basis if necessary!

You don't need 707 hp unless you believe you do. So, do you?

Gotta agree great article... make you wonder why we get gouged as much as we do for gas guzzler tax... I did get 25 MPG in eco on a short two hour trip myself. The Charger being more aerodynamic should have no problem.

Never confuse want vs need. When my wife saw her 2014 GC SRT at the car show, I said why do you need 470hp? She said, I don't need it....I want it. Now shut up and write the cheque and pay the man. When I saw my Hellcat, she said why do you need that..I laughed and wrote the cheque.
    :p

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I sure miss that car, it was a joy to drive and an all around great car to have as a daily driver. I hope to be able to bring you a Trackhawk review as well, and I will do the same thing: drive it like I own it, so I can bring everyone a real assessment of the vehicle, not just "how many ways can you abuse a media car and get away with it". ;)

Even if it's not the performance of 707 HP, my family and I enjoy the built in technology, the mean muscle stance, awesome handling, bitching sound, and everything else that goes with riding in a CAT. The speed and horsepower is just another perk. :)
I even let my 17 newbie drive the CAT, and she had no issues when driving like a responsible new driver.

What a great article. Owning both gives you an appreciation of both for two very different reasons.
