In the data written about these hellacious cars it states they make 11.6 pounds of boost. I've noticed my car is not as potent as other folks describe. I've been watching the boost gauge, and I think I found out why. With the black key, boost maxes out at 6 pounds, and in full power mode with the red key it hits 9 pounds and briefly hits 10 pounds at upper revs. If it's supposed to make 11.6lbs of boost pressure, but is only maxing out at 10, that should explain why my car does not feel as powerful as it should, correct?

Were you at high speed when it clicked from 10 to 11 pounds of boost, or will it hit that pressure at like 60mph or less? Phoenix area is like 1100feet or so, so elevation is low; We only have 91 octane fuel here, but I'd guess others getting more boost in their cats are relegated to that lesser grade gas too.

    Yeah
Yeah that's true. You normally lose .5 psi per 1000ft according to Kennebell.

I went WOT at 40 MPH and boost went to 11 psi quickly ( a few seconds perhaps ) as car picked up speed to 90 MPH. I am in Florida so perhaps 20 feet above sea level. Not sure what MPH was when boost read 11 psi but if happened very quickly after going WOT from 40 MPH

Haven't nailed it yet but ambient conditions (especially DA) have a huge effect on boost. 2200 ft here in Vegas and my Shelby rated at 15psi never saw more than 14. Took a trip to San Diego and she jumped to 15 every time. Don't get too caught up in the numbers. On the Shelby boost was displayed as an inferred value by the PCM. Not sure if the HC works the same way.
