Most of us have had non favorable experiences with the cheap black side skirts that have been on the Challys since '08. I love the ones on the HC Charger - come on aftermarket make us some.

Does anyone else agree? Charger (2).jpg HC Side Skirt.jpg

I totally agree the factory ones are so boring and have no flare to them.

When I had my Challenger Srt8 I thought about doing the side exhaust like the vipers but then the exhaust noise would be so loud and deafening for the driver. I had did this to a truck I had and couldn't even hear my passengers talk or the radio. Lol!

Were they the Cervini ones? If so I also thought about those but didn't like the delete diffuser on the rear.

For the Challenger I don't remember the kit I was looking at but as my truck I had a 1971 Chevy stepside, lowered, with a 350v8 & A350Turbo, mild cam, Hookers headers, Flowmaster dual exhaust with the exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires (it was a mild truck but looked & sounded like a racer).
I loved the look and the mean sound! I was fine with it until I drove next to a building or on the fast lane of the freeway because the exhaust noise would bounce back off the building or the concrete divider and then you couldn't hear anything else but loud exhaust which was deafening. Lol!

I really love that look and sound though..........

When you say non-favorable experience what do you mean. I agree they are cheesy and I can see them getting marked up already from the sandblasting they get from the front tires.

Is this the issue or some other problem with them long term?

Well I know on my '08 and many memers on Challengertalk had issues with them breaking. They basically push on with "chessy" connectors - if it wasn;t for where they connect in the wells they wouldn't last at all. They eventually even "warp" in the heat after time and god for bid if someone jacks it wrong or puts it on a lift not perfectly - your screwed.

No on the Charger rocker look. I prefer the rolled under rocker covers like the original muscle cars had. However the 60s rocker covers were chrome plated stainless steel which would be even better.

If they make a TA track Challenger, I am sure they will address the down force opportunity of a properly flared side skirt......

They got the front splitter right...the larger rear spoiler is only OK....then they fell asleep on the side skirts and rear tires......

They can keep them plastic and not painted......just flare them for some down force and a more aggressive look.
