OK, this is a bit out in left field and a bit humorous for a topic of discussion here, but I've always wondered this:

Domino's charges $2.50 for delivery of their pizzas, but I've always heard that the driver's do not get this $2.50.
    Is that true?
Domino's takes the $2.50 it charges for some kid to use their car, their gas to deliver the pizzas to your door?

Or do they split that charge?
Or does it all go to the driver?

Anyone work for or have worked for, or know somebody who does work for Dominos who can clarify?

I wanna know what the driver tip is. Is it 20% if you get it in a hurry?

Nope. Drivers don't get squat. Not even sure if they get gas reimbursement. Probably not.

    That's terrible.
Domino's already charges MORE for the pizza's IF you order delivery instead of picking it up yourself. So to add a delivery charge on top of that and then to keep it instead of giving it to the actual person who is delivering the pizza is ridiculous.

If you are paying for it to be delivered, then why would you tip too? I don't tip my mailman each day. If the pizza is the same price, with no delivery charge, then I can see tipping, but if you've paid for it to be brought to you, then, is the tip to cover the delivery from the cars seat to your door only? Makes no sense, might as well tip the person taking the order, and tip the person cooking it, too! I guess if the delivery person brings you your drinks, as you eat the pizza, so you don't have to get up from the table, then a tip is reasonable.

I agree. When I was a teenager we did all kinds of service jobs and NEVER got tips.
Kids and well the not so young people who think they deserve $15 an hour to flip burgers and think a minimum wage job is a career, seem to put tip jars out for everything. They put tip jars at Starbucks where you go in, stand in line and wait. Then they call your name and you have to go up and get your drink.
Why does that deserve a tip. They are doing the job they are paid to do. Tipping is for going above and beyond or giving great SERVICE, not for just doing the basic job you are paid to do.

A lot of the kids I grew up with had paper routes. They were the smarter ones. My buddy and I trapped muskrats in the swamp. Depending on the size of the rat we got $1.25 to $2.50 per whole rat. We'd take a box of them on the bus to sell them to a fur company in downtown. They wanted the whole rats. They'd skin them and the rest went to a cat food company. The two of us always had money in our pockets but it was really hard work.

From the dominos site, they expect you to tip even with delivery charges:
Any Delivery Charge is not a tip paid to your driver. Please reward your driver for awesomeness. Our drivers carry less than $20. Minimum purchase required for delivery. Delivery charge and tax may apply. Prices, participation, delivery area and charges may vary, including AK and HI.
